I have had this species idea for a while and have finally decided to bring it to life! The Species name is Nafwe The Nafwe are a species that inhabit the realm of Axoriel. A fantastical place full of magic and wonder. Although a relatively small species they are extremely nimble and can navigate the woods that they inhabit despite being almost entirely blind. They live in packs or "Meldings" averaging around 7-12 large. Once per generation a Nafwe is born with better eyesight than the rest of their Melding and becomes their "Watcher" a position of authority that usually orientates around relocating their group and warning them of predators. If more than one Watcher is born they will usually attempt to assert dominance over each other with the weaker watcher either accepting his lowered rank or setting off on his own to find a new Melding to take charge of. The Watcher of the Melding is almost always male and has first pick of females from his group, picking up to 3 to mate
